Welcome to White Dog Music, my name is Simon and I offer guitar, drum, bass guitar, vocal, keyboard lessons and contemporary band/choir sessions at the Gorse Ride school in Finchampstead the Charles Kingsley's School in Eversley and What Cleaning, Boundry rd - Woking. Music lessons are available in-school at CKS, after school at Gorse Ride and What Cleaning.

With schools now focusing on EBacc subjects, which excludes music and the arts, figures show that student engagement with music at both GCSE and A-Level is in decline throughout the school system. In some cases student engagement is down by thirty percent since 2023.

My experience in music has given me many insights into the benefits of music which include;

  • Enhanced cognitive skills.

  • Increased academic performance.

  • The development of social skills.

  • Emotional regulation.

  • Increased confidence.

I am passionate about sharing my experience as a professional musician and educator and believe that it is important to continue passing on the skills that I have learned over the course of a twenty year music career. I teach students of all ages and beginners are always welcome.

If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

The concert was really amazing, it was wonderful to see the children perform. Thank you for all the hard work you have put in. My son is really excited for the next term.

Thank you so much for a fantastic end of year concert. You did an amazing job, especially with such limited resources. It was clear how much thought, effort, and heart went into the performance, and it really paid off. We are so grateful for your dedication and support throughout the year.

R Fearon

Thank you so much for a great concert, I can't even imagine how you pull something like that together!

N Chattaway

Absolutely loved it! The children all did so well and I was blown away by how much they had all picked up. I know all the mums in our year group felt it was a success
